Our Story
Poppy's Bagels is a small, local, family owned and operated bagel shop born in Waterloo. Owned by husband-and-wife duo Mike and Ashley Fry who both grew up in the Waterloo region and have a love for food that sprouted at the Stratford chef school.
Leaning into their passion they developed their own twist on the Montreal bagel that they call "Montreal inspired". These bagels are chewy, delicious, not to mention vegan and are packed with flavour to perfectly compliment their cautiously curated sandwich menu.
The menu might seem a touch different from most due to the unique names which are after the young family and other names that might ring a bell. The most popular sandwich is "The Kyrie" named after their son, and coming in close to that is "The Ruby" named after their daughter.
